OUR HEARTBEATS BECOME ONE!

CHAPTER 2

The train reached Delhi at midnight after a lot of delays. Khushi and Payal got out... completely spent.The platform was empty except for a few travellers waiting to board the train.

"Khushi, buaji told us she'd meet us at the station... i wonder if she went back as the train was delayed?" said a worried Payal. Khushi was apprehensive too...their first time in Delhi and no one to guide them...plus the platform looked creepy! scrawling with homeless and ragged scary men! "Jiji lets get out of here... I'm sure we can call her and ask her the way to her house. Vaise bhi its so late! Expecting her to be here at this hour is not correct!" Payal nodded in agreement. They began walking towards the exit.

Unknown to them a few men were following them . As they reached the exit though Khushi became aware of the men who were passing indecent comments. Khushi grabbed Payal's hand and began pulling her , coaxing her to walk faster.... The men behind followed suit keeping up to their pace.

"Khushi what is the matter? Why are you pulling me? " asked Payal who was obvlious to what was happening. Khushi didn't say anything but dragged her harder.

The men began closing on them . When Payal asked her the same question again Khushi whispered "Jiji run! "

"Huh?" was all payal could say before Khushi pulled her and began running . They ran towards the highway were the traffic was somehow at its peak! Khushi tried hard to navigate her way through the crowd but just couldn't make it. The men were pretty close by now and were waiting at a close distance watching their moves. Khushi finally gave into her fears and made a hasty crossing...but she wasn't so lucky. She jumped right in front of a white porche which came to a screeching halt .

The drivers window opened and a handsome head peeked out and uttered ," What the..?"
